Seychelles: an invitation to travel…

Jean-Charles has just joined Charly’s team! With a degree in political science, he’s a curious traveller who lived in a number of countries – notably for the United Nations – before working in the travel industry. That was 10 years ago. And to make us dream, he shares a favourite destination: the Seychelles…

A name that sounds like an intriguing whisper. Set in the waters of the Indian Ocean, off the coast of Africa, its blonde expanses and blue lagoons make it a little paradise… ‘Ultimate happiness, everything was so beautiful that I’m still dreaming about it’.

But when you say seaside destination, you say you’re afraid of going round in circles… It didn’t turn out that way at all for Jean-Charles: ‘By visiting three islands, we didn’t get bored for a single second. Firstly, Mahé, a magnificent island, with steep mountains covered in tropical jungle and endless beaches. What a pleasure to discover it at the wheel of your hire car.

From there, La Digue, accessible by boat. Here, you can get around on foot or by bike. The small island is charming and authentic, with just one village. It’s a place where you can forget about the world, live in slow motion and enjoy the paradise-like beaches. Last but not least, Praslin, a kind of Garden of Eden, with its palm-fringed white sand beaches, lush forest, crystal-clear waters and gentle way of life… ’

The best time to go?
In the Seychelles, it’s summer all year round! The average temperature is 30°C, with water temperatures between 26 and 30°C. You may want to avoid December and January, as there is a greater risk of rain.
